Yoga on your dock!

I have been practicing yoga for about 3 years now and completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in May with Power Yoga Canada ( Since the beginning of June I have been teaching classes online & in person and have been really enjoying it. Now that I am up at PauB I would love to teach up here! If you are interested in a class please send me an email at and we can find time for a class either on your dock or mine.

Effective June 20th, I will be available to shop, pick up and deliver your groceries, alcohol, curbside pickups, and other items from Parry Sound as well as from Home Hardware/CCY General Store, The Ojibway and other businesses in the Pointe Au Baril area. I am happy to deliver to you within the Pointe Au Baril Islanders’ community.

COVID-19 - I practice social distancing and am adamant about hygiene (masks, gloves and hand sanitizer).

Missing: LOST paddleboard. "On Wednesday, June 22, the water rose, the wind shifted and our favourite "Pelican" Paddle Board floated away into Shawanaga Bay. Help Wanted

Shoreline Clean up/Tree Removal needed. Island A96-72. We are hiring a 14-25 year old for full or part-time work: 3-6 weeks. Candidates must complete CSC (chainsaw safety) course (online 1 hour-expense paid). Wage: $13-18/hr. Text to Diane Dempsey (416) 254-3538.

Ideally someone who has experience with infants. Likely a couple of hours in the mornings and late afternoon/early evening. Flexible hours.

Seeking Camp Counsellors for daily swim, canoe lessons and general island fun for kids!
Looking for one or two qualified Life Guard swim instructors for our 3 children this summer on Ojibway Island.
Daily swim lesson, canoeing and fun on the island.  We are very flexible with timing and open to lots of other ideas.

Camp Counsellor:
Our family is looking for a camp counsellor for five days a week from June 22 for six weeks. Please email for more details.

Mother's/Grandmother's Helper needed:
A family of 2 grandparents and 6 adults “working remotely”  and one 13 month old are looking for a happy, energetic, good swimming young adult to provide an extra pair of hands as needed.

I can offer 5 days a week, 5 hours a day with a flexible or firm schedule at $15.00 per hour. If firm it would be Monday-Friday 10-3pm and if flexible it could be more than 25 hours a week - not less.

Help could include babysitting/playing/swimming, meal prep and just help around an island as needed.

Our island is number 329A - Thunderbird Island. It’s about half way between the Ojibway Club and the Lighthouse. Need to have your own transportation to/from the island daily.
